Keynote - Jana Dekanovska - Crowdstrike

Jana serves as a Strategic Threat Advisor at CrowdStrike. She is responsible for CrowdStrike’s Threat Intelligence business across Australia and New Zealand. Prior to her current role, Jana was a Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst at CyberCX, developing a wide variety of analytical products across strategic, operational and tactical levels of intelligence for a diverse customer base.

Before moving to Australia, Jana held multiple intelligence-based roles across Merck and Amazon in the Czech republic, and served in NATO commands across Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Abby Breytenbach - Cyber Resilience Lead CSIRO

Abby is a cyber security leader and technologist with over six years’ experience working across public sector, critical infrastructure, education, research, and beyond. She has led initiatives ranging from strengthening organisational cyber resilience through to supporting teams during active ransomware incidents—bringing both strategic insight and real-world experience.

She currently leads the Cyber Resilience function at CSIRO, helping enable digitally safe science and research at a national scale.

Now based in Brisbane, Abby previously lived on the Sunshine Coast and is excited to be part of the conversations at SunCon.

Daisy Wong is a cybersecurity leader with over twelve years of experience across IT, finance, and healthcare. She heads security culture and awareness at Australia’s largest private health insurer, designing programs that reduce human cyber risk and is passionate about building a people-first security culture. Blending marketing expertise with technical concepts, Daisy creates engaging initiatives that make secure behaviours second nature. She is an active industry voice, speaking at conferences, serving on advisory boards, and driving community building as Corporate Partnership Manager at AWSN. She also serves as Honorary Secretary for the Victorian Branch Executive Committee of the ACS.

Alex Tilley - Global Threat Research Coordinator at Okta

Alex is the Global Threat Research Coordinator at Okta & is a Cybercrime Researcher & Cyber Intelligence Expert. With over 25 years of experience in security & cybercrime, Alex career began in the online casino industry before transitioning into the burgeoning field of cyber security within Australia’s banking sector playing a pivotal role in developing countermeasures against then-emerging threats, including phishing & malware attacks targeting banking platforms & customers.
Alex later became the Australian Federal Police’s (AFP) first-ever Senior Cybercrime Technical Analyst, where he combined technical expertise with investigative analysis to uncover cybercriminals’ identities, motivations, & tactics.

After leaving law enforcement, Alex led Threat Intelligence & Research for the Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) region at Secureworks’ Counter Threat Unit (CTU).
Today, Alex is the Global Threat Research Coordinator at Okta, the world’s leading identity & authentication provider.

Jamie Lindsay - VP of Technology at DTEX Systems

Jamie Lindsay is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with 15 years of experience in cyber, insider risk and enterprise technology. As the VP of Technology at DTEX Systems, he focuses on the application of current and emerging technologies to mitigate the risk of insider threats. Jamie has directly supported the development and maturation of some of the leading insider programs in Australia and around the world. Sectors supported include Banking, Federal Government, Pharmaceuticals, Retail, Manufacturing and Energy and Utilities. Jamie also leads DTEX’s partnership with the MITRE Corporation, with the mission to uplift capability for Critical Infrastructure and Government entities across the Five Eyes.

David is an accomplished cybersecurity professional who has led Architecture and Cybersecurity teams at National Australia Bank for the last eight years, following his experience as a software developer, penetration tester, security consultant, and engineer. With comprehensive expertise in Threat Intelligence, Digital Forensics and Incident Response and Digital and Cloud Security, he brings specialized knowledge of an attacker's mindset and "Systems Thinking" to help build strong and competent cyber security teams. An active participant with MITRE's the "Centre for Threat Informed Defence" through NAB's partnership, David leads the strategy for NAB's threat informed defence approach. He excels at translating technical threats into business risk contexts, driven by a passion for building inspiring experiences through data and threat analysis that enables more effective defense strategies and meaningful outcomes for organisations, customers and the Australian economy as a whole.
