Directions to the venue

Transport & Parking

Suncon is held at the UniSC Innovation Centre, 90 Sippy Downs Drive, Sippy Downs—on the Sunshine Coast near the University of the Sunshine Coast (USC). Here’s how to get there.

By car

From the Bruce Highway or Sunshine Motorway, take the Sippy Downs exit and follow Sippy Downs Drive. The venue is on your left as you head towards USC. On-site parking is available; follow signs for the Brasserie/Function Hall. Arrive early on the day to secure a spot, as the car park can fill when the venue is busy.

Public transport

Translink buses serve Sippy Downs and the university. Use the Translink journey planner and set your destination to “Sippy Downs” or “University of the Sunshine Coast”. Get off at a stop on Sippy Downs Drive or near USC and walk to 90 Sippy Downs Drive (about 5–10 minutes depending on the stop). Check timetables for the conference date, as services can be less frequent on weekends.

Taxi and ride-share (Uber, etc.)

Use the full address when booking or in the app: 90 Sippy Downs Drive, Sippy Downs QLD 4556. You can also search for “Brasserie Function Hall” or “90 Sippy Downs Drive, Sippy Downs”. Ask to be dropped at the main entrance or the Brasserie/Function Hall so drivers know exactly where to stop.

Surf Session

The Surf Session is unsupervised so those who choose to participate should follow the directions of lifeguards and local authorities. As surf conditions are unpredictable, only confident ocean swimmers should participate. All participants do so at their own risk.
